私は真逆の性質を持つ石と金属を用いて、「事象の汀渚」をテーマに制作活動をしている。
いつも視界の片隅で動き続けているような形体や、生命の気配を感じるものに人は目を奪われる。静止していても「動くかもしれない」「変化するかもしれない」ものを注視せずにはいられない。そうして「なにか」を追いかけているうちに生物的な形体に辿り着き、一向に「なにか」に近づけないどころか見慣れた親しい形体に帰ってきてしまう。
未だ名前を持たない何ものでもない何かを生むため、私は事象の境界を融かさなくてはならない。
I am working on the theme of the boundary between phenomena, using stone and metal, which have diametrically opposed properties.
People are always attracted to forms that seem to be in constant motion in the corner of their vision, and to things that give them a sense of life. Even when stationary, we cannot help but gaze at something that "may move" or "may change. In chasing after "something" in this way, we arrive at a biological form, and instead of getting closer to the "something," we end up returning to a familiar and familiar form.
I must melt the boundaries of events in order to give birth to something that is nothing without a name yet.

一度欠けると元に戻らない石は不可逆性の象徴であり、打つことによって空間を生み出す真鍮は失われた体積を可視化するための媒体である。石と真鍮、反対の性質を持つ素材同士を組み合わせ、なにものでもない有機的な形態を生み出すことを目的に制作している。
この二つの素材を使い制作することは困難であり、どちらもどう扱ったかが素直に作品に反映されてしまう素材である。目には見えない、存在するかも分からないものをつくるためには、つくる側の意思を明確にできる素材が必要である。曖昧さのない抽象形体を目指している。
